Rébecca Sauvin (*1975) graduated from the Ecole Superieure d'Art Visual de Geneva and is this year's winner of the Kiefer-Hablitzel scholarship. Her artistic media are drawing, photography and video. In all of these media Sauvin works with physical experiences and, by depicting artificial states, explores the levels of meaning of the physical. In her exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Thun, Sauvin will be showing a figurative installation: a female body resting on the grass is partially absorbed by the earth. This scene borders on the surreal and is capable of awakening disturbing feelings in the viewers.
